The Moore Street Preservation Trust is led by Relatives of the Signatories to the 1916 Proclamation of the Irish Republic and is committed to the preservation of the Moore Street Battlefield site and to its sensitive development as a 1916 Historic Cultural Quarter in the heart of our capital city. 

The Trust has produced a detailed development plan to advance this objective, protects the trading history of the area and provides also for much needed local employment and housing.

The proposal by the developer Hammerson threatens to destroy much of the Battlefield site and the Moore St. Preservation Trust is challenging these proposals. 

We seek public support to highlight the plan, lobby the Irish Government, State Agencies and Citizens to adopt it as a fitting tribute to those who fought in the cause of Irish freedom.
